GROWN TO BE WORN

1 of 4

How to say a lot with very little.
That’s one way to describe the first collection from the Grown To Be Worn line.

A limited edition of 200 unisex T-shirts, made in Portugal from hemp.

Rooted in sustainability, Ralhenta introduces a new approach: exclusive pieces built around a naturally strong and durable fibre, grown with low water requirements and without intensive pesticide use.

As it grows, hemp regenerates the soil and captures significant amounts of CO₂, making it one of the lowest-impact textile fibres available. Its strength translates into longevity — pieces made to last, not to be replaced.

Each piece is digitally certified through NFT technology, ensuring authenticity and traceability. The label includes a QR code with access to its LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), detailing the environmental impact across the garment’s full lifecycle, from fibre cultivation to final production.

Not just a T-shirt.
A garment grown from the earth, worn with intention.

Description

Limited collection of 200 unisex t-shirts in ecru/natural tones, made in Portugal from 55% hemp and 45% cotton. Digital certification based on NFT technology.

NFT

An NFT, or "Non-Fungible Token," is a unique and unalterable digital record stored on a blockchain. It functions as a certificate of authenticity proving that the item is original and cannot be copied or counterfeited. In the Grown To Be Worn line, the NFT is the "digital fingerprint" of each t-shirt: it identifies the edition, confirms authenticity, and accompanies the item forever.

When you purchase one of the Grown to be Worn line t-shirts, a digital certificate associated with the item is automatically generated. This certificate, registered using NFT technology, confirms its authenticity and identifies the edition and unique number of the item. The certificate can be viewed online and, for those using a digital wallet, can also be received directly in their account.

No. After purchase, you will receive an email with access to your digital certificate. If you use a digital wallet, you can add the NFT directly to your account. Otherwise, you can simply view the certificate via the link provided, in a simple and accessible way. The certificate exists to provide trust, not to create unnecessary hassle.

In the first collection of the Grown To Be Worn line, Ralhenta uses the BCome platform to track and make transparent the environmental impact of each piece. Through the QR code on the label, you can access the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of your item, that is, the complete assessment of its environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle, from fiber cultivation to the final product. LCA is an internationally recognized method for quantifying different types of environmental impacts, such as water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and resource use, offering clear, data-driven information on the product's environmental footprint.

Additionally, we offer you a carbon-neutral checkout experience by calculating the carbon emissions of your purchase and giving you the option to offset them by donating a percentage to environmental projects.

The first Grown to be Worn collection is a limited edition of only 200 unisex t-shirts, in a raw/natural tone, manufactured in Portugal from 55% hemp and 45% cotton. All pieces have the same graphic design and are available in three sizes (XS/S, M/L, XL/XLL).

BCOME

The data presented results from an LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), an evaluation of the environmental impact of the part from raw material to the factory gate (cradle-to-gate).
What matters most is not just the absolute numbers, but what they reveal when compared.

Each t-shirt in the Grown to be Worn collection contributes to 45% less water consumption compared to the benchmark. The use of hemp, a crop with lower water requirements, has a direct impact on this result.

It registers 28% less CO₂ eq emissions , reflecting the combination of plant fibers and a concentrated production chain.

It features 26% less consumption of non-renewable resources , reducing dependence on fossil raw materials.

91% of the supply chain is identified and mapped. This means that almost all production is known, declared, and tracked – from processing to finishing.

The main stages – processing, manufacturing and finishing – take place in Portugal, reducing logistical dispersion and increasing control.

This doesn't mean the collection's environmental impact is zero. It means it's measured, compared, and made visible. These numbers aren't perfect. They're real. Transparency isn't about appearing flawless; it's about showing what exists.

Why hemp?

It's the most sustainable fiber there is: it grows quickly, needs little water, doesn't use pesticides, and even regenerates the soil. It lasts much longer than cotton and improves with use.

For decades, hemp was limited by legislation and prejudice. This delayed its spread and left the industry without scale. Today, there are still few factories that can process this fiber on a large scale.

Producing hemp requires specific techniques: the fiber is harder to process, the looms are different, and many steps are still manual. Because there is little supply and small-scale industrialization, the price goes up.

Yes. A hemp garment lasts for years, gets softer with time, and can replace several others in your wardrobe. Every dollar pays for quality, durability, and a positive impact.
